This year, for the first time in MLB history, balloting for the Mid-Summer Classic was completely digital. The fans have spoken, and the starters have been elected. Here are the men that the fans have granted the prestigious honor of starting an All-Star Game, which this year is Tuesday the 14th at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, OH.

National League:

Catcher: Buster Posey- Giants

First Base: Paul Goldschmidt- D-backs

Second Base: Dee Gordon- Marlins

Shortstop: Jhonny Peralta- Cardinals

Third Base: Todd Fraizer- Reds

Outfield: Bryce Harper- Nationals

Outfield: Giancarlo Stanton- Marlins

Outfield: Matt Holliday- Cardinals

American League:

Catcher: Salvador Perez- Royals

First Base: Miguel Cabrera- Tigers

Second Base: Jose Altuve- Astros

Shortstop: Alcides Escobar- Royals

Third Base: Josh Donaldson- Blue Jays

Outfield: Lorenzo Cain- Royals

Outfield: Mike Trout- Angels

Outfield: Alex Gordon- Royals

DH: Nelson Cruz- Mariners

Whom the NL’s DH will be is up to Manager Bruce Bochy. Miguel Cabrera and Giancarlo Stanton are currently on the DL so it will interesting to see who replaces them.

On Monday the Reserves and Pitchers for each League will be named. At this point it is unclear which Pitchers will start, but if I were a betting man I’d say it will be Houston’s Dallas Keuchel vs Washington’s Max Scherzer. Bochy and AL Counterpart Ned Yost will also name the coaches they will invite, and the annual MLB.com Final Vote ballots will be released.
