In Week 3, the Buffalo Bills are out to redeem themselves after a disastrous Week 2 vs. the Patriots. QB Tyrod Taylor was sacked 8 (yes 8) times and opposing QB Tom Brady threw for almost 500 yards. The Bills did manage to mount a rally late in the game, but it was too little too late and the team fell 40-32. Miami too comes off a loss, theirs being a heartbreaking 23-20 at the hands of intrastate rival Jacksonville.
If Buffalo wants to win this game, then the team’s Offensive Line is going to have to be eons better than last week. As previously stated, Tyrod Taylor was sacked a jaw-dropping 8 times because his O-Line was out to lunch. Taylor still managed to have a pretty good game considering that, but imagine what he can do if he’s actually protected. This also will allow LeSean McCoy to get into the act. The RB has only 130 yards and no TDs yet, he is going to need to step up for his team.
The Bills defense on the other hand has had much success against Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins in recent years. Tannehill is in just his fourth NFL season and he has already been sacked 144 times, 32 of those at the hands of Buffalo. The Bills know that they can handle the Dolphins’ O-Line and put consistent pressure on Tannehill. Miami’s receiving core is talented, but nothing that Stephon Gilmore and Ronald Darby should have an issue with.
One thing that the Bills really must try to amend is their discipline on-field. In 2 games in 2015, Rex Ryan’s squad has given up 253 yards in penalties. If you keep giving the other team extra yards, eventually they will burn you. Buffalo needs to keep the flag out of the referee’s hand.
This is a big game for the Bills, don’t miss out!
