Flames Announce 2016-17 Opening Day Roster

Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames announced their opening day roster for the 2016-17 NHL season.

Today, the Flames signed defenceman Nicklas Grossmann to a one-year contract. The Flames also assigned forward Brandon Bollig to the AHL’s Stockton Heat. In addition, forward Daniel Pribyl has been medically cleared to play and has also been assigned to Stockton. Following these moves, the Flames opening day active roster now sits at 23. Defenceman Ladislav Smid will start the season on injured reserve.

The Calgary Flames start the 2016-17 NHL season in Edmonton on Wednesday, October 12th when they face the Oilers.
