Buffalo Sabres sophomore forward Jack Eichel appears ready to resume playing with the team. On Monday, Eichel skated without limitations at Key Bank Center.
The waiting is the hardest part.

Eichel was getting extra work with the first power play unit that features Ryan O’Reilly, Sam Reinhart, Kyle Okposo and Rasmus Ristolainen.
“The patience is starting to wear thin but you gotta make sure you’re being smart” Eichel said after practice. “You like to be able to go through the adversity with them and be able to play. These are my best buddies.”
Buffalo faces Ottawa Tuesday at the Canadian Tire Centre. Coach Dan Bylsma was optimistic Eichel could return but was not ready to confirm that he’d be ready tomorrow. He did say that today was better then Sunday and that Jack was really good the day before.
