On Monday the Buffalo Bills announced they would be parting ways with kicker Dan Carpenter, CB Nickell Robey-Coleman, long snapper Garrison Sanborn, tight-end Gerald Christian and safety Phillip Thomas.
Carpenter was the center of criticism for much of the past two seasons under then head coach Rex Ryan. Carpenter struggled in 2015 and in 2016 particularly on extra point attempts.
Robey-Coleman was signed by the Bills as an undrafted rookie back in 2013. He was entering the final year of his contract.
