Rasmus Ristolainen

In a “good will” gesture Rasmus Ristolainen appeared on the ice Thursday to skate with his teammates. Although a deal hasn’t been reached, the Sabres young but very promising defenseman did not want to lay around while a new contract was being negotiated. Ristolainen participated in the World Cup of Hockey with his native Finalnd but were eliminated prior to the semi-final round.

Kulikov participated in a skate on Thursday and is penciled in for Friday night’s preseason game vs Toronto in Buffalo. Kulikov was a fixture on the Russian blueline at the World Cup of Hockey. Kulikov was acquired in a trade with the Florida Panthers at the NHL Entry draft for Mark Pysyk and two draft picks.

Ryan O’Reilly

O’Reilly could return to the Sabres as early as today. The forward helped Team Canada clinch the World Cup of Hockey last night in a 3-1 win over Europe.

Jhonas Enroth

Enroth, now a member of the Leafs could play tonight in his return to Buffalo.
