It’s about that time where I like to tell you who I think you should play in Week 1 of NFL “Fantasy” Football. Additionally, what teams I’m laying a few bucks down on with my book.
Tyrod Taylor vs Baltimore Defense (Sun 1pm): This match-up favors Taylor. He’s returning to the team that let him walk. They kind of had to though right? The Ravens gave up 25+ points a game last season. With Taylor under center (while healthy), the Bills offense shined, especially the run game in which he himself rushed for over 500 yards. Taylor is ready to show Baltimore he is a franchise QB. Charles Clay could be the benefactor.
Derek Carr vs New Orleans Defense (Sun 1pm): Yes Please. Carr has a slew of weapons at his disposal including Amari Cooper. The tandem should put up solid week 1 numbers against a Saints defense that was pitiful last season and may have gotten worse with the loss of rookie Sheldon Rankins. Plus, it’s in a dome.
Ezekiel Elliott vs Giants Defense (Sun 4:25pm): With Romo on the shelf expect the rookie from Ohio State to get the ball a lot! The Giants defense was 24th in the league against the run last year. This could be quite a debut for Elliott.
